The great thing about staying in a house of a sailor is to be put on the fast track to book one of our full-day excursion on the sailing ship in the gulf.
Milmar is our schooner. A picturesque, 22 mt. long sailing ship fully made of wood with which on a summer day we will explore a marvelous stretch of sea with stops at beaches and lunch on board.
In the morning after looking at the wind, we will be going to choose one of the routes of the Milmar. We will sail and anchor either in the turquoise waters of the breathtaking bay Cala Zafferano (accessible only by boat) or the emerald bay of Tuerredda, by now one of the most beloved sandy shores of Sardinia.
Roberto is the skipper with whom you will discover the beauties of the southern coast: unique bays and impressive shorelines…..and then everybody is seated at the big table to enjoy Roberto’s famous dish, “Spaghetti del Capitano” (spaghetti of the captain).
All things on board of Milmar seem to offer particular emotions: the heady perfume of the sea, the sound of the ropes that hold on tight to the wooden winches and masts …. And then comes that very precise moment when the motor is turned off and the sails are hoisted, and the breeze leads the crew and its guests into the deep blue.
You will enjoy life on board, the colors of the wood and the sound of silence that mingles to the sound of the sea when sailing.
At 10am we will depart from the Marina of Teulada, have a swim in one of the picture-perfect beaches and then our exploration of the coast begins. Lunch will be served on the deck and in the afternoon you will be offered a snack. Sails are set and we begin our route back to the marina where you can enjoy your evening at a restaurant and join one of the summer events of the town.
